New turbo we are going to test...thought some might be interested

Hey guys thought you might like to see this turbo. We will be testing this unit that T-netics built for us soon againist a T88H from greddy. We already did some testing with the T88H vs a PTE-74GTS and the results were very good, the 74GTS outspooled and outpowered the 88. This new unit though dwarfs the 74GTS and is even bigger then the large T88H unit which itself is larger then the 74GTS. Should be interesting to see these results. BTW, this will be tested on the Supra....yeah, yeah...I know its a ricer...lol. The first link is for the first test we did with the 74GTS and Greddy T88....

74GTS vs Greddy T88

These are the pictures of the new unit....

The Greddy T88 34D is a 70mm, and the T88H spl is a 76mm.

I couldn't remember the exact specs but I knew GReddy's naming convention was a little deceptive.

Yeah Greddy's naming system is wack. The 67mm your thinking is the Greddy T78 34D. The turbos make good power, but are out-dated.

That's it exactly. I haven't kept up with the GReddy turbos much because we don't use them for any parts. But you are right. YOu think you are buying a T78 when you are actually buying a T67 by everyone elses standards lol.

Greddy has always done that for marketing purposes. A T88 sounds big and bad and Greddy knows this. Its incredible how many people think the Greddy T88 is the same as a PTE-88.

And by the same token a Master Power "Super T70" is not a Garrett T-70...

I've tried to find Master Power turbo compressor maps to just see what they can do (considering they are rather cheap) but havent found anything. Jose- do you have anything?

I don't have any compressor maps for the MP turbo per say, but they would be the same as the T-netics T70 p-trim. Same basic turbo. They don't make a Super 70, the only MP turbo they label as super is the 60-1.
