Just FYI, I had my New PT-76 serviced after a year of use (probably around 3000 miles) and they told me my seals were going bad on the compressor side. It cost me a whopping $75 for new bearings and seals from precision (installed). Have the turbo rebuilt. Its not expensive.

Just looked at the supercharger install by AMS... All I can say is my god. How could anyone install something like that? Thats is the crappiest, least thought out, put together by complete idiots mess I have ever seen. I'm no master mechanic myself, but if these guys have a business thats lasted 10 years, I'm thinking I could make alot of money out there. I love how that redhead guy keeps saying he's going to kick some ***, then putting up his own phone number. I guess I live under the belief that "the stupid shall be punished." Now a-days you can't get away with crap like that and wanting to videotape it also. Yeah like that isn't evidence

I'm glad i don't know any idiots like those guys

Bill

The redhead is mad because he's the one that actually did the install There used to be a photoshopped picture of Beaker on a ZX-12 going around that really got him riled up.

Note: I sent Job a link to that thread as well, he has no idea what they are talking about.

Jesse, you don't by chance have any pictures of that engine do you? Joel's motor had copper head gaskets with some visible grey sealer on the edges. If you take it apart it should have Crower I beam rods, that GM steel crank and JE pistons. The pistons were also bead blasted so they look matte.

When I had the engine out, i distinctly remember copper head gaskets with grey sealer.

As far as internals, I can't tell you one way or the other. I "may" have a picture of the P/N of the crank, but that's it. It does have I-beam rods, but I don't know the manufacturer.

Just making sure you got what you paid for, everything sounds good so far.

Yes, I hope it's all what I paid for. I'm kicking myself for not having it inspected before I installed it. At any rate, if/when I pull it I most certainly WILL have it gone through and if it's not what I paid for, we'll have a little "meeting" at AMS.

The most power he made was 6XX and that was in his wastegate stuck and caused a huge boost spike

hmm.....

I won't say where, but it was a reliable source that I got that info from. They said Terry made 7XX rw, but the only thing left on the kit was the log. DP, xover, were upgraded.

Maybe they were mistaken

The #'s I remember was 630rwhp/700rwtq, with LOTS of boost..., but I could be wrong. I think one of the guys on this board asked Terry, I think his username is ARAM or something like that. I know we had this discussion before on what the max was with the TTI kit.

No worries... i'm hoping for 550 on pump and after the custom manifold is built, we'll go for the glory.

I'm starting to think the TT kit is only good for 550 RWHP or so. It takes alot of boost to get it to that level though, too much. I'm definately looking for something else to get that power level with alot less than 18 psi from my setup.
