Where are you placing the intercooler at? I'm running into a delima on going with a Front mount or an air to water...

Who made the intercooler and where are you going to locate it?

Re: new ignition setup and intercooler

the intercooler is going under the passenger side headlight assymbly like the twinhigh flow setup from ATI. the intercooler is a spearco it rated to 900 hp.

it fit like a glove and it uses the radiator support for a mounting place and an existing mount for the head light to hold it all.

FWIW there is a lot of flexibility on sticking an Air/Water. Not to mention you dont have a huge IC Core taking up air flow space, which is limited to our cars. Or just not visible from the outside of the car, which to some is a good thing.

I stuck mine in the same spot Vortech does and once I get it fixed and polished I think it'll make a nice addition to the engine bay

Re: new ignition setup and intercooler

Uh maybe its just me but that intercooler isnt BIG. Nice stuff and by no means am I knocking it, but my custom PTK intercooler must be HUGE if this one is big. I need to post some pics. But never the less, VERY nice stuff. Did you have to chop the LTCC harness down to get it to work with the LS2 coils?? Not much has been mentioned about the LTCC. I am doing one and would like to know. Thanks!

Re: new ignition setup and intercooler

I changed the way the LTCC harness was setup so it would look better. there were just way to many wires. What I did was took the whole harness apart removed all of the duplicate wires and built it like a GM harness. Once you take apart your LTCC harness you willl see what I mean. The way i built the harness its electricly the same just looks different. I wanted it to look as seamless as possible I can send you more pics if you would like of the harness

I bought this stuff to build it http://www.msdignition.com/tool_6.htm http://www.msdignition.com/tool_9.htm plus a soldering iron, heat shrink and black tubing.

Re: new ignition setup and intercooler

here is the finished product

it took about 2-3 hours or so maybe a lil longer it wasnt that hard to do just took time.

The coil pack setup i bought and modifed looked just like this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/LS1-L...spagenameZWDVW this is even the same guy i bought them from!

I bought these harness conectors from MSD part# MSD-8185 and rebuilt all of the wiring using them. if you want i could build this exact setup for you.

I sold my MSD BTM, the MSD coil and made 250 on those items. bought the LTCC for 200 buxs off of here , paid 180 for the coil packs 35 for the connectors had the other parts so all in all i paid 265 for all of it after selling all of my old stuff and will have a solid ignition that should be able to handle anything i need!!

Nicely done! I see a bracket for a blower on your car, correct? How do you have your blower running if it's still running the Ram Air or am I just missin something here?
