New Best w/ STS kit...10's soooo close!
New Best w/ STS kit...10's soooo close!
I finally got to run my car again today at our test-n-tune day @ No Problem Raceway. I have not been back to the track since the F-body event in Memphis last May. The weather was unseasonably HOT for November with a DA of 2800+
I made 12 passes total (I show poor Jane no mercy!) I ran a bunch of 11.30's @ 122.x throughout the day, but when I finally listened to Paul (and didn't have my cell phone vibrating in my pocket while I was trying to launch) I was able to get up on the converter enough to build some boost for my launch. The results were 1.59 and 1.54 60' times, leading to 11.13 and 11.18 passes, both at 122 mph. I'm still figuring out how to launch the car consistently, but I am VERY Happy with the results, esp for my 99K mile car running 5 lbs of boost. I know a little cooler air and I will definitely see some high 10's.

On a lighter note, today was the one year anniversary of my shattered tibea at last year's Thunder Shootout. I stayed away from the scooter (and all other forms of two-wheeled motorized vehicles) and managed to make it through the day un-injured

Nice times Angie, I guess all those STS nonbelievers will be scratching their heads huh? I had a good feeling that with a converter and a good dynotune those STS turbod cars would run some #'s. Later

The thing that I seem to notice is a trend that mostly on A4's perform well with this kit.
But then again, thats pretty much the same for any turbo but more so for the STS.
