Re: My PTK T88 SS

That sounds like a nice setup. Have you had a chance to put it on a dyno to get some numbers? It looks stock so that thing is gonna suprise some people on the street.

Re: My PTK T88 SS

Yes, the whole name of the game with this project was to keep it stock looking. No dyno #'s yet since the tranny is out. The flywheel that McLeod sent us is out of balance and the dash almost rattles out of the car after 3500 rpms...lol.

Re: My PTK T88 SS

The plate frames I got at a Super chevy show. They always have them for sale.

As for dyno #'s, they will be coming soon, just need to get the tranny back in the car now with a flywheel that is actually properly balanced...hehe

Looks sweet jose. I can't wait til mine is finished. Every time I hear something new about your T-88 setup I am tempted to upgrade, but I think Im gonna just stick with the 76GTS. I will call you when I am ready for it. I too like the license plate frame

Re: My PTK T88 SS

The difference between the 76GTS and 88 was 987rwhp/929rwtq, to 1012rwhp/909rwtq. Both at ~24psi. So the 88 made a little more hp, but less torque.

Re: My PTK T88 SS

Take in mind that if you decide to go with the 88 you will need to custom modify the system.

Re: My PTK T88 SS

If you do want to go with the 88, I also suggest going building a custom larger downpipe. Such as a 3.5 or 4 " if you could.

Spool times would most likely be 200-500 slower depending on motor size.

Re: My PTK T88 SS

The difference between the 76GTS and T88 is about 500 rpms, of course this will depend on compression and cam specs. To get that unit to fit, the downpipe was the only thing that we changed. We went from a 3" vband union to a 3" donut flange union. The downpipe stayed the same diameter. Also keep in mind, this is on the Gen 1 system. The Gen 2 system is routed a little different and we have yet to try an 88 on it.

Dalton...get back to work ****....hehe

Re: My PTK T88 SS

76GTS ~ 4000rpms

88 ~ 4500rpms

Remember those are peak torque #'s, which is where spool up is rated. Positive boost is earlier.
