My dyno fun today.....

Todays dyno fun. Let me know what you guys think. My day was cut short by an electric water pump failure. Don't know what happened or why, but the pump now shows an open. Wires from the pump also got hot and started smoking. Couldn't find any shorts and have good ground and power to the pump itself. Will have to investigate cause it's not that old. Just a little over a year and probably less then 10k miles on it.

No after or intercooler. Water/Meth injection with a 50/50 mix. 7" crank/2.75" blower. Still on a 52mm TB and a 4" charger intake pipe with the stock MAF in it (choke!). Couldn't get the car tuned without lots of cruise surging on the pressure side so thats why it's still down there. Eyeballing that 4" Lingenfelter MAF though and a TB upgrade to a 58mm.

Is that using a 41.5 inch belt?

The rear wheel torque and HP are the numbers on the video. As for the belt size, i can't remember off hand. I can go out and look at the number on the belt if your in need. Let me know.

It's in the dyno vid.
14#'s and no spray = 635.9 RWHP 580.2 RWTQ
14#'s and 150 dry shot = 808.7 RWHP 715 RWTQ

(All on a Dynojet)

Nice #'s man! I am hoping once I install my meth injection kit, I can add a few more ponies this year as well to yeild similar numbers (not the spray numbers though).

Are you still running the stock PCM? Or do you have a different engine management system?

Still running the stock ECM and i tune it with TunerCat. I'm thinking i should be able to pull even better numbers out of it once i upgrade the MAF and Throttle body and next time spray with my bottle pressure closer to 1000psi vs 850psi. I haven't played with the water/meth injection amounts too much either. I can go up a size on the nozzle and also play with the on and off times on the controller some so don't know if i'm leaving any power hanging with meth tuning either.

I would at least reccomend getting the 58mm TB. The LPE throttle body is pretty new, and it seems no one has really tried it yet, so not sure of the results, although they should be good.

As for the meth injection, it depends on the kit you have. I know Snow Performance's kit offers full control depending of the boost level you have, and at a certain point (I believe they told me over 800 RWHP) that you may need a second nozzle to keep the spray level where you need it. You should know where you are at by the amount of timing you are running along with your wideband readings. Once it starts to lean out, back off the timing a little, re-run it to make sure it's safe, and you should be set. As for the amount or nozzle size for the meth, you should consult whoever you got the kit from.

Great stuff man . Keep us posted on the car as you continue to fine tune it! Any more specs on the car (cam specs, clutch, whether you were running pump gas ect) would be great!

No hurry but if you could take a peek next time you are under the car.
Thanks

Poncho, the belt is a NAPA 25-080415 8 rib. You can look it up on NAPA's site and it will give you the size. That belt fits on the tight side with that pulley combo. The next size up fit also but the tensioner put almost no pressure on it. CALL911, i'm using the Snow water/meth kit. That was on pump gas also. I just posted my ride in the sticky boosted roll call thread so all my specs are now there to view if you'd like.
