My 355 Parts List

Crank
Scat Cast Steel 3.48

Rods
Scat 4340 I Beam 7/16 cap screw
rated 700 HP.

Pistons
Probe FPS -20.3CC Pistons.

Shooting for 10-15 psi of boost. Lets here some opinions. This will be a street car on lower boost most of the time. I dont wanna spend 700+ on custom pistons either. Hows this for a budget build?

Yup, with those rods, your stock crank is perfect. I would be willing to be the stock crank is as good if not better than the scat/eagle cast cranks...

Looks good, I would go forged crank or stock.. no need for another cast one.

From the info gathering I did you are better off with a stock one than an aftermarket cast.

Also no point in doing a forged crank if its not a 4 bolt main.

But his stock one is jacked up. He NEEDS a crank or has to pay to machine on the stocker

Going to have to pay to have the replacement one machined to fit too, just a thought.

Oh and as far as the 4bolt required for a forged.... I disagree but there isn't enough evidence for an argument about it.

Just machine the stock crank
Go with Eagle H beam rods, they won't cost you much more

I wouldn't be too concerned with 'I' vs 'H'. Aren't they, for the most part, a cross section rotated 90 degrees; and we're talking tensile and compressive loads.
