more single turbo C4 vette progress..

Well guys.. the headers are finished, the wastegate is now mounted, and this week in the evenings I will begine tackling the cold side plumbing and intercooler mounting. mid week should have alot of it wrapped up, and my SS downpipe tubing should be here mid week so i can get that knocked out.. then just some fuel system work, and then drop in the new long block and get the DFi installed and should be firing her up in the next 4-5 weeks. have to wait for some things to get to and back from the coaters, and for my intake manifold to get here from LT1intake conversion for distributor.

the pictures can be seen here at this link on the corvette forum!

Re: more single turbo C4 vette progress..

these are mild steel headers... mainly mig welded with my tack welding mig box.. low power little adjustability.. the Tig welder I have does a much nicer job, but seems to weld SS much prettier then mild steel which at 16 gauge turns into butter rather quickly.

the SS headers will be done shortly and will offer much nicer welds.. those welds are tough though with more then adequate penetration.

PS...KMA lol I learned how to weld for this project seeing as how Us C4 owners don't have the luxery of a bolt on turbo kit like you Camaro guys have...lol
