When it comes to measuring a compressor pulley for a vortech, do you measure from the outside lip or do you have to get a mic and measure the inside?

I know for ATI you need to measure the inside (between the ribs). Usually I just take a piece of string an wrap it around the pulley. That measurement will give you the circumference. From that you can get the diameter of the pulley.
