Max Intercooler CFM

If I havea intercooler that flows a max of 2200cfm and then I mate it up with a D-1 procharger that flows a max of 1400cfm. Is it a good assumption that this intercooler will be a good match?.

Yes that intercooler will fit my car, its really no bigger than a 2-core from ati but it flows more. Can you send me some pics of the one you have?. meanlt1fbody@aol.com

2.5" inlets though. Looks a little bigger than the ATI 2-core though. The 3-core is like 28x12 or something.

as long as that is using Spearco cores it looks to be 3 of them. Their highest flowing core in that configuration is rated at 540cfm each. 540x3= 1620cfm However they are 3.5" thick..... so I wouldn't guess that intercoler flows what they are bragging about.

Precision Turbo has their intercooler on special thru TurboBuick.com. 4.5" thick core and 2x the surface area of that suppsed Spearco setup. It has gone low 9's@150mph in a 3600lb Buick GN so you know it works. I got mine for under $600 brand new and I know it works.

They are cast end tanks that are on the sides vs. top/bottom. Very beefy and compact intercooler with 3" inlet/outlets. It is the intercooler in their Buick Grand National kit.
