Mass air flow and superchargers.

Does a supercharger delete the mass air flow sensor? i was thinking about getting a MAF and a supercharger later but i didnt want to waste the money if the supercharger deletes it. im asking because everytime i see pictures of a supercharger i never see the old MAF.

No a SC doesn't get rid of the MAF. It's just usually hidden under the car where you can't see it easily.

A MAF works with a supercharger; if the MAF is located before the supercharger, then the air not used by the motor is bypassed back to the inlet of the supercharger.

Re: Mass air flow and superchargers.

Placing it after the blower is supposed to fix some of the drivabilty concerns with a blower such as erratic idle. Also, restrictions before the blower tend to hurt performance more than restrictions after the blower.
