LT1 Twin Turbo Lives!!!

Finally the car comes back to life. The setup consists of stainless logish style headers feeding twin Garret T3/T4 Hybrid turbos. Stainless Downpipes/Y-pipe into my borla. Aluminum tubing forward to a front mount intercooler then up into my MAF/TB. Twin Tial 35mm wastegates. Tial Blow off valve. Walbro 255LPH(340 high pressure model) pump with racetronix Hotwire setup. 42 lb injectors.

Dynotuned the car with the help of INTMD8 aka Jim from Speed Inc. The engine is bone stock. Stock heads/cam/TB...only thing on it is twin turbos and a borla.

It dynoed 355 RWHP and about 410ish RWTQ at 5.5PSI. It was running around 11.5 AFR. Jim left it a bit rich since the dyno doesnt produce as much load as the heavy **** car does. I am seeing about 6.5-7 on the street.

Here are the two best dyno sheets:

This is an A4 car. It also had a couple of exhaust leaks at the time so that could add a few extra HP I am sure. And the old MSD wires on it might not be helping. Overall I am very happy and the kit turned out very clean. The front 3 plugs on each side are easily visible. 7 and 8 are more of a challenge, but they are dooable from what I am told...havent tried it myself yet.

The next car to get this kit will be the owner of the shop. Not sure how many more kits he needs to get on cars before it goes into mass production, but I am sure it will be sooner and far cheaper than BANKS...LOL

The kit is from Charged Air up in Grayslake, IL: www.chargedair.com

Right now the car is up at CAS getting the exhaust leaks taken care of. Tony is supposed to swing by with it later today to drop it off. I will try to borrow a digital camera tonight and put it on the lift to get some nice pics

Well the base kit would probably be just the plumbing, turbos and wastegates...and blowoff for an M6 car. That would be the DIY kit. I have no idea on prices yet.

Then I think he plans to sell one that comes with an upgraded fuel system and possibly a tune where you send him your PCM or something. I just have the stock computer tuned with LT1 Edit by Jim(INTMD8).

Obviously there are upgrades that can be had for the turbos also.

I dont want to say anything on prices yet since I really dont know where they will end up. He has thrown out some numbers, but nothing rock solid yet. Im sure he will be posting numbers for all the kits soon.

LS1 and LT1 F-body, and LS1 C5 twin turbos comin at yah.

sweet.....cant wait to see what #'s it puts down on a bolt-on car, and then also a heads/cam car.

so this is using stock compression right?

if we drop compression and increase fuel system, it should be even better.

Excellent! Hopefully potential customers will be able to piece it out if need be.

I wouldn't want to purchase any fuel, ignition, tuning pieces, but the manifolds themselves, turbos (although bigger), wastegates, etc. would be nice.

What are some of the specs? Will this place be making headers and turbo combos that will support big power, about twice what you're quoting for the stock kit?

Keep us updated, I think you definately have the attention of quite a few people... not that this hasn't happened before

Well the same turbos as are on my car are on another customers Eclipse. Thats 1 of my turbos. Its a 2.0 and made 392 at the wheels at 18.5 psi. It did 483 on 27 psi. So the kits potential in current form far exceeds what my motor/heads is capable of.

Turbo naming is very strange and vague to me, but he calls mine T34's. All the way up to a 60 should fit. Again, I dont really understand everyones naming schemes...

Larger PSI? LOL. I plan to drive the car, not break stuff. Plus its winter and there is more salt on the roads now than there is snow on the ground

Hopefully I will have more ambition to work on it when spring rolls around.

I havent gotten it on my lift yet to take pics, but if anyone wants I have a short video of the car that my buddy made. The file is kinda big since he doesnt really know what he is doing...he just got the camera a couple weeks ago.
