LT1 Boost Budget Kit Build

Well guys, I am waiting on parts to complete the TT setup. In the mean time, I decided to build the Cast Manifold Budget Kit (complete kit with a TC 76). This is a budget kit for $5000, but you'll have to delete your A/C. Not a bad price for a kit that will support 600-650rwhp. Here are the first build pics so far:

Yea I have been looking at them and considering a turbo setup. I could build one myself but I dont think I have enough time to piece it all together. If only that was a header kit at that price you could consider it sold.

Looking good.

How bad/hard is it to weld to the cast?
My friends won't touch it but I have wanted to try this for a budget build myself sometime.

Its not bad. You should use a hand held heat source (propane torch) to heat before and after you lay the welds. Also, you need the welder turned way up, so you can see the weld melting into the cast iron. if the weld bubbles up ont he surface of the weld, then you arent penetrating enough. Grind it flat and do it again.

Thanks, I'll give it a try sometime.
