Looking to route the exhaust of the BOV to somewhere beside all over my clean engine compartment.

Methods, materials?

Do you mean the compressor blow off valve (should be clean air) or an external wastegate exhaust?

Depends. Oil could be coming from the blower unit or from the engine if you have your PCV hooked up to the compressor inlet. There should NOT be oil there.

Why not run a few feet of heater hose to where ever you want.

Can seals be ordered for the ProCharger or must it be sent to them for the repair?
Suppose I could do the hose thing, just seems very gawdy

Thank you. Yes, BBC 496 in a 68' Chevelle in my sig

Calvin,

I'd probably forget about re-routing the BOV discharge and try to figure out why it's spitting oil.

Not sure on blower seals. If you are not running a PCV to the inlet (which can pull in engine oil), I would recommend the manufacturer take a look at the blower and rebuild as required.

Im not running PCV to the inlet. It's plumbed into the main vacuum off the back of the carb. Is that a common practice to reduce crankcase pressure I assume? Can I plumb it in right after the BOV?

A stock Vortech kit for example routes a hose w/ valve from the valvecover to the compressor inlet. At high intake flow rates this may create a low enough pressure to help evac the case. It could possibly bring in some oil which is why I asked. At low flow rates, this setup will not pull much from the crank case.

If I understand your question, you would not want your evac source anywhere on the pressure side of the compressor. This would only tend to pressurize the crankcase under boost, not evacuate it.

Only way to dump to the ground is to have a BOV with a single outlet (like a greddy BOV). The tial dumps around the circumference.

Gotcha, that makes sense. I was thinking that somehow the velocity through the downstream tube may cause enough pull to create somehow. Maybe with a one way valve?

I'll route the PCV to the inlet soon
