Limits of the Stock TB

Hey im wondering if I should take the plung and get a new throttle body. The mods are in the sig full bolts, cam everything except heads. Just kinda curious. Also since I have the intake manifold off now what would be the best bet for boring it out for a 58mm tb since i dont have a gasket pattern to go by.

I wouldn't bother with it. Stock Eliminator LT1's are running low, low 10's through the stock 48 and they don't have dense, compressed air going through it.

But in no way will a larger t/b hurt you.You may not gain a whole lotf rom it but you wont loose any hp from it either.

What do you mean it won't hurt you? My wallet is still hurting. You might even pick up a little bit from the weight loss.

I agree that there is no such thing as too big of a throttle body, though.

Yeah, everyone needs a 4bbl billet throttlebody capable of 2000 cfm.
