Interesting concept on oil return

I saw this in a Car Craft I have. They were using the vortech YS trim. Instead of plumbing the oil return line into the oil pan, they ran it back into the valve cover. What do you guys think of this?

You would probably need a scavenging pump because the plane the blower is on has to be higher than the plane the valve cover is on. It has to have a gravity drain, as long as it does you are good.

Makes sense, it was vortech's marine blower so it sat way high on the motor.

Still better to drain to the oil pan.

Less chance of filling up a valvecover, and less HP loss due to windage (more oil draining back over the reciprocating assm.)
