Lightbulb Which ignition box for my 142 blown 327 67'---

Should I run the Mallory 6cd box or the MSD 6-btm box for my 67' camaro running a 142 weiand blower? The 6cd doesnt have timing retard which I need , and has a window switch which I dont need ( more for the bottle right? ) . Does it matter if its digital or analog? ---

The BTM is pretty much the standard. Crane also has a very nice 6 series box and TRC external timin retard that operates much like the BTM. It does however cost more.

What digital will do for you is create a more stable timing signal internally that is used to fire the coil. Digital ignitions usually offer rpm/trigger timing compensation so that a magnetic trigger won't retard with rpm as it inherently will without that circuit. It can also produce a smoother rev limiter.
There are usually other added features of a digital box but none of them are usually deal breakers. Heat related ignition box anomolies are also reduced with the digital circuits.

As you have an LT1 the first benifit won't apply to you and the second one isn't really all that important.

Between the two I'd probably go for the BTM with its built in map sensor.

No, the BTM will work with a curve but rotor phasing can get ugly with a lot of retard and a full centrifugal advance swing. Limit centrifugal advance to 20 degrees max and put the rest in base.

Thanks for clearing that up for me, my friend has a BBC and a YSi and he wasn't doing a good job of explaining it to me.
