how much boost could an lt1 with a scr of 10.3:1 and dcr of 8:1 handle safely? the description of the engine is in my sig if any more info is needed.

 

well boost varies it really depends on how much power it makes before it comes apart. You can have a p600b running 12psi and see lets say 550rwhp and you can use a F1 and run 10-12 psi and see 700rhwp.just an expample though. but the I beam rods i would think can only handle 550rwhp safely

 

i was thinking about the 600b kit or the p-1sc kit with 8 lbs of boost. im looking for around 450-500 of reliable rwhp. as long as i can run that im happy. would these kits be a good choice for my expectations or is there another option i have not researched yet.

 

go with a p1sc its quite and reliable. It will make 500 no problem i dont see why you should worry about anything with 500. Just make sure its tuned right and get a good set of head gaskets like Cometics. but people have had good luck with felpros as well
