Hotcam/Supercharger?

I've had the hotcam kit for a few years now but never got around to installing it. I will eventually, though. Anyway, I was interested in knowing that say somewhere down the road if I was interested in going with a supercharger how would it mesh with the hotcam? Would it be about the same gain as the stock cam, or would it not work as well? I know there are supercharger-specific cams, so would I have to go that route, or would that just be something to think about to get even more power? Thanks.

You lose a little boost from the overlap, but it's not that bad. I have hotcam and boost. There's some others that run it too. Try a search and it should pop up.

I run it and have no complaints.Sure there are better cams, but the hot cam does a nice job.

The little bit of overlap between the intake and exhaust valves is way over emphasized. It will affect boost at lower rpm's, but as the rpm's increase, the effect of overlap will decrease. I think the hotcam is very close to comp cams 305 cam.

I know some guy on this board said he lost lots of boost & power with the hotcam because it had too much overlap and that the pistons didn't see full boost; that is total BS IMO. I saw around 11 psi with the procharger with a 12 psi pulley and it made a ****load of power. The hotcam is a good blower cam IMO, but it is obviously not optimized.

Doesn't the hot cam have like 2 degrees of valve overlap or something like that?
