Hey, where are those sts track times?

We have had two races this season in California. Now, I know someone in California has bought at least one Sts kit. I, like every one else, is waiting with anticipation to see the times on a Camaro or Firebird, (not your farm vehicle) running 5-6lbs of boost. Preferably a car that was setup and already running mid to high twelves. We want to know what kind of times and mph the rear turbo can produce in Joe Blows everyday street racer??? Well?

Re: Hey, where are those sts track times?

There's one with a built LT1 motor (13-14psi boost) running low 12s.

The times are out there though..... search for "12s", and "@120+mph"

I'll race you in my "farm vehicle"

And before you get your hopes up, it won't be in the big blue 4x4

Re: Hey, where are those sts track times?

For as long as the kit has been out you think you would have heard of some times by now????
I'm not ragging the STS kit...The kit is an excellent easy to install set-up and we all know it probably will not do the numbers as a well designed front mount but, lets see some numbers!

Re: Hey, where are those sts track times?

There's a lot of 12's out there some 11 second runs too. We hope to have some 9's out by the end of the summer too.

The above link is a good example of a 4,000 pound GT0 running 11's.

I do believe it's a "good example of THE 4,000 pound GTO..." It's a very fast car, but I havent seen any other GTO's yet that come close. Slowhawk and the boys in the Jersey area are doing some killer work. STS times are creeping up quickly. 5-Liter-Eater has an LS1 putting out an obscene amount of power with a rear mount setup.

However the term "go go gadget flamesuit" is going to be needed here...

Also the term "Farm Vehicle" is a bit on the lewd side. Watch the 1/4 passes such a heavy vehicle makes and its nothing short of impressive. Not to mention that huge truck is probably a bit faster then your car... Gotta respect that, and if you cant even give that a serious nod, then I dont know what to tell you...

Re: Hey, where are those sts track times?

Generally speaking the STS Base kits are good for a 1 second reduction with the cars and a 2 second reduction with the trucks in the 1/4 mile. The STS base kit is basicaly designed and purchased for an extra 110 horsepower at the rear wheels on a dependable daily driver. We have to make the kits somewhat idiot and red neck proof. An extra 30% in power is a lot of fun for the street but it doesn't turn cars into quater mile monsters.

Not Everyone lives their life one 1/4 mile at a time, ...LOL

Isnt that the truth!

When it comes to a simple street upgrade, STS is the bang for the buck king.

Re: Hey, where are those sts track times?

Right here.

JL LS1 vid
11.6@120

The LT1 vid should be up soon
12.0@126

Info about both are on the the site below.

Neither car leaving the line with boost. That step is next after the list of parts needed are installed.

"Not Everyone lives their life one 1/4 mile at a time, ...LOL" True

Re: Hey, where are those sts track times?

HEY, F8L Z71, Didn't mean to be disrespectful. We often refer to trucks that smoked someone that way. It's more of a dig on the person that got beat by a truck. And yes big blue would smoke my z running 12.7s. You get your props for those 12.2-3's she runs. That said, good job to the goat for those times and mph. That is exactly the info I was looking for. I too am finishing up having a rear turbo installed on the Camaro. I was just wondering what to expect.
