Help me pick a supercharger kit?

So I've decided to go with a supercharger for my new LS1... I want to keep my factory AC? Is that possible? I know most turbo kits I've looked at won't allow it.

I also want to throw this thing on a bone stock LS1, so I want something that likely won't blow up my drive-train, but I want to be able to upgrade to more boost...
I'm also not too concerned about breaking things, as I've saved a long time for this build up and if the engine goes.... it's just an opportunity for more power. (I'd just rather be able to drive the car around for the rest of summer before tearing it apart).

So what do you guys think I should go with?

Procharger D1sc

or

Vortech T-trim

Both are very good units and will allow you room for more boost later on after you get your bottom end built a bit

I would also agree that a D1SC or T-Trim would be an excellent place to start.

At least you are expecting to rebuild the stock bottom end, as most guys just think they can get away with it without blowing the motor.

I used to work for a guy who had a D1SC running only 8#'s of boost, with all the proper supporting mods (intercooler, upgraded fuel system, injectors, ignition, dyno tune ect.), and even with that, he made it a whopping 2500 miles before he fried a piston in his stock bottom end LS1.

quite a few of the site sponsors are Procharger dealers. I'd try getting ahold of them and find out what they can do for you for pricing.

Call Bob at EPP (www.exoticperformanceplus.com). Tell him "CALL911" sent you, he will give you the best deal around on any model Procharger you want.

I don't know of any good Vortec dealers though.
