Got boost? Video clip of the 'Bird.
Here's a short clip of the 'Bird. I still have a little work to do. The hood, bumper, and head light covers are being painted. The intercooler tubing will be media blasted and powder coated as well. Making a 3 inch y-pipe with oval tubing that will be ceramic coated to match the rest of the exhaust. I drove it for about 2 miles the other day. Don't worry, I drove the car with the hood, bumper, and head light covers still on the car. I'm not a hillbilly.
Hopefully it'll be ready to go on the dyno in a few weeks.

Re: Got boost? Video clip of the 'Bird.
Great looking setup!
Couple of questions...
What heads are on the car?
If you don't mind me asking, what did the engine cost? I assume it's the Brutus from FLP?
What are you doing to get air to the intercooler? Did you cut the bumper at all?

I had a question as well. Looking at where you mounted the intercooler how are you going to get air flow to it? Did you modify your front bumper? I need to come up with a promising way to way to mount a FMIC on a T/A without chopping up the front bumper.

Call Scott at Midwest Engine Tech (815-464-9490) for engine pricing as every application is different.
The bumper support has been removed and I fabricated brackets to mount the intercooler. The actual bumper cover has been modified to allow air to reach the intercooler.
I will post pics of the car when it is completed.

I do have a 6 speed and I managed a 1.49 60 foot time years ago with the old set up (500 rwhp) and a stock front suspension.

I can always put a 28 inch tire on it. I'll have to play it by ear. That's the least of my concerns now.
Re: Got boost? Video clip of the 'Bird.
I planned on running a 28.8" tire and with 3.73's in 4th gear 140mph would be approximately 6200rpm. Unless you plan on shifting at 7k i suspect you may need 5th gear anyway.

If you spin it high enough those gears can possibly work fine with 28" tires.
