getting front off for meth kit???

are there any tips or tricks to it? which fasteners do i need to pull off? all i need to do is pull my windshield washer tank out....

thanks,

Pull it off for a FMIC or a meth kit? A meth kit wont require pulling the facia as it is only a pump and container...

as my original post states; i want to pull out the windshield washer fluid reservoir. i want to use it for my tank instead of trying find a place to mount the tank that comes with the meth kit. the supplied tank is too small, yet big enough to be a pain to find a place to mount.

do you know a way of getting at the washer fluid tank without going through the front?

Jeremy

It's straight forward but takes a little while. Kind of a pain getting to some of the nuts on the sides where the bumper cover bolts to the fenders. I used a right angle socket drive on my cordless drill and zipped off all the little bolts along the bottom (10mm?).
You can probably just undo the bottom half or something and pull it out w/o removing the whole dam thing.

that's what im hoping will happen.....

i was wondering about the area in front of the fender. ill dig in there and see if i can pull it out the bottom. it also seems kinda tight just under the headlights.

thanks,
Jeremy

There's also a metal tab on the bumper cover that screws in to the car near the headlights, so don't forget that (if it's even an issue).

thanks, got it off already.

by the way, your fmic looks bad ***! although ricers have them as a badge of "coolness", when you see that on an american muscle car...you know it's all business!

the most trouble i had getting mine off was with the bolts on the top side near the front that are "covered" with the plastic cap. the damn things would not turn at first and they seemed to never completely back out.

Glad you got yours sorted out though, i need to get pics of my fmic hidden behind the billet grill, it does a great job of not showing the fact the front even has a hole in it.

well, i mis-spoke when i said i got it off. i meant to say that i got it out. i ended up pulling the black piece out from the bottom, in front of the air dam and just dropped the tank out from the bottom...

i may post some pics of the kit after i get it on if anyone is interested in seeing it. i got the coolingmist kit from ebay.
