Getting close to release of the LT1 kit

For those that have been following the kit build up, it's almost there. So far the stats have been..

484/540 (10psi aborted at 4700rpmw/ stock injectors STD, SAE conversion 1.03)
462/473 (7psi to redline w/ stock injectors, SAE conversion 1.03)

After 150ish passes, I drove it 400 miles to St Louis, dynoed it at the World Ford Challange 6, drove it around St Louis about 100 miles (wife is a native) and drove it home. Total of about 900 miles round trip. It dynoed 470/484 SAE corrected but the A/F ratio so rich it dipped below the sniffers 10:1 range. That was at 9psi.

Best ET has been 11.8 @126 on a stock drivetrain minus the centerforce clutch
Best MPH has been 11.9 @ 128 on a stock drivetrain minus the centerforce clutch

All of the above statistics were achived on stock programming.

I'm going to test a new blow off valve and have a single run of 3 kits made up. I will replace the prototype kit on mine and test two other local cars. Once that is done, it's game time. I'm expecting to have it complete by late August or early September.

We will also be releasing the 3.4 and 3.8lt 4th gen v6 kits as well as the LT1 kit at the same time. LS1 kit is going under developement soon.

I bought a domain name but I haven't found the time to build a website yet. With three kits coming out soon, perfecting those has been the priority. I haven't done any kind of marketing or advertising yet. Posting results on this board have been just about all I've done to let everyone know it's coming. When it gets closer to release time and the kits are done, I will spend some more time and get some advertising going on with the pics and stats.

Would this include programming? Can customers send you .bin files?

Also, I'm not sure how a turbo system would affect emissions in Ca? I'm 100% for a turbo and have been waiting a LONG time. But out here, if the Cat (1995 Single Cat) is moved in any way, they won't even let us get on the ramps to run the snif test.

if you take the time to invest in a turbo kit.........youd be better off getting custom tuning on the dyno.

turbo speed..........is this on a completely stock engine?

are the headers log style, or individual?

what does the kit include, and what is the expected price?

89ProchargedROC is correct. The PCM programming is completely stock. I also agree with got_hp? in that it's best to have any computer programming mods done on a dyno to suit your individual applicatoin. Every car is a little different.

The engine is internally stock. It does have 30lbs SVO injectors however. I did forget about one other modification I did to the car before I started the build up on this car. I put a 160* thermostat in it. It also has a throttlebody coolent by-pass. The throttlebody itself is stock.

The header design will be single runners into a collector and y-pipe. I don't like the log setup. The kit will include everything you need to install it. Price is still out depending what the plumbing and intecooler cost me to produce. Best case senario would be to make the first productoin run of 10 kits going out as a GP so I can keep my costs low thus keep the price of the kit low. The ultimate goal is to make more power for less money than has been done thus far. I have no doubt about the fomer and I'm confident we can achive the later. Right now, I am targeting 3500 dollars for the first 10 on the GP. This gets us in the ballpark of any of the low cost supercharger systems and give the person the ability to make big numbers on a stock engine and give plenty of room for improvement as they mod their engine. Once the kit is released, I am going to tear then engine down, build it up strong and see what I can get out of this system.

When you tear down your engine, what specs will you build your new motor to? Compression Ratio, Cubic Inches, etc.
