justin...im getting closer to having my kit done to be able to sorta compete with you
However, the rate your going, you will have to be on low boost and me on high boost so it'll be fair!

My kit should be done so I can debut it at LTx shootout

I run a custom built setup that I made, it consists of a Joe P manual boost controller and a GM boost solenoid to give me two boost settings. I use my old nitrous switch that is on the floor to switch to high boost.

This year I'm going to build a little more elaborate setup, I'll be able to run as little as 3lbs on the launch to get it to hook on the street, and up to 18lbs, WITHOUT an electronic boost controller, and I'll have 4 differnet boost settings, on the fly.

Yep, my problem is a timer won't work because when you switch road surfaces(concrete/asphalt) you would need a different delay. Also, when using a 4lb spring, it won't allow you to make more than about 9lbs of boost unless you apply pressure on the top port(like an electronic boost controller does), thus why I have to build a interesting setup.

how well does it work?
Looking at pickin one up, because im buying a 3PSI spring, and am only going to go up to 6PSI after i get my injectors, etc.

No I'm not, I was using the Joe P manual boost controller, google and you'll see what I'm talking about. It should work great for what you want.
