Fuel System with Aftercooler?

Anyone have pics of a custom fuel system implementation while using a Vortech Aftercooler? Having the aftercooler in the engine bay makes space a bit precious.

Re: Fuel System with Aftercooler?

There seems to be an upper limit of airflow through the aftercooler that limits power, most people dont need an aftermarket fuel system at the power levels that the aftercooler supports. Most just seem to get the box and run the big injectors. The most power I have seen using the aftercooler is 600rwhp.

Yes, the aftercooler may become a limitation shortly in my setup.

However, I' looking for ideas on how to do it ... not reason why not.

I've made 680 rwhp through an auto/loose converter with the Vortech aftercooler. I upgraded to a custom Bell water/air intercooler that's 2.5x bigger and have yet to break 680 rwhp. BUT, at 680 rwhp and 20 psi boost I was seeing somthing like 3-4 psi pressure drop through it. The rule of thumb is to not exceed 10% of boost and I was at 15%.

680 rwhp through the aftercooler using a turbo. I made 550 rwhp through the aftercooler with a T-trim at 13 psi also through an auto/loose converter.

The aftercooler from vortech is a very nice peice... i had it. It worked like a charm.. There are some other people that used a YS trim with it also with impressive results...There is a lot of pressure drop but the tubing is very short... In all... a well designed kit that can be tucked in. I gained 55rwhp w-o any changes.... and dropping 2psi. One other thing... There is also another thing.. when the air cools there is less pressure... My iats dropped 100F easily...
