Glad I have a 4L80E
Yea, but I wouldn't trade my T56 for anything. One of the smoothest shifting manuals ever. I'm holding out for Specs new Super Twin Clutch when it comes out for LT1's.

Yes at 127mph, it's a mid 10 sec car . U'll get there with a better 60' easy.

The incar vidio reminds me of my first blower pass on drag radials, with a stick. It's a lil scary when the backend steps out in 3rd gear.

Actually, it reminds me of my car before subframe connectors and/or 8 pt. rollbar. Just curious Call911, what have you done to the chassis on your car?

Also agree, your car definately has a 10 second pass in it!

He's on a cruise, but I'll chime in. Chassis mods he's got sub frame connectors and a strut tower brace. Complete aftermarket suspension otherwise.

Fastbird is correct. Pretty much full drag suspension (QA1's, ect., ect.).

BTW, after watching the 2nd run a little closer, the time comes up, and then you hear me shift into 5th, so perhaps I can run out 4th after all. The speedo is accurate according to Bryan (from PCM's for less) who checked it out on the dyno. If its off, its not by much.

What kind of slicks did you have on the car when you were at the track? Also, how tall are they? What rearend gear are you running? I'm sure you've done the calculations but yea, it seems unnecessary to have to shift into 5th gear. In the video, your car sounds great, maybe it was just the perspective with the vidoe camera, but it seemed as if the chassis wasn't working to its full potential and you were skating around a little. That's why I was inquiring about your suspension mods. Keep after it and you will definately see improvements as I know your car has a lot more in it!!!

The slicks are MT ET streets mounted on salad shooters. Not sure of the size as I bought them off a buddy of mine. My car is dailed in suspension wise, as believe it or not I can nail 1st gear with cold Nitto DR's on my 18's, and not spin them loose! I'm sure it was a combo of poor track preperation, and not heating them up enough on my part.

Nice job on the cold slicks, next time DONT worry about the tree guy...he will wait...your driving YOUR car,not HIS.

Most def. has much more potential in it,especially if you keep it outta 5th .

At that speed, you have the power for the mid-high 10's on the time slip, just takes some practice to get there. You'll get it soon, just be patient w/ yourself.

After you get it into the 10's and you think your running out of RPM,switch to a 1" taller tire, that should save you.

Good luck on gettin that 10 sec streetcar slip

Good times and mph. I think your current mph should get you into the low 11s or possibly high 10 with a good 60' time. My guess though is that your mph should increase a bit with the power you are making, and then, mid 10s should be possible.

i dont think you should be worrying about if you make a 10sec. run, its more like when.

I know those track guys can get pushy and you dont want to hold anyone back. BUT, if you feel the need to go back, put here in reverse and do the burnout process again, by all means, do it.

You don't want to skate into a wall on cold tires.

What psi where you running in those tires? Maybe a drop in pressure in those tires will yield a stronger bit.

car sounds amazing!!!

Thanks. The psi in the slicks was set at 16. I probably could've dropped it a # or two, but I really think heating them up longer will be the biggest improvement in traction.
