Heres my plan, no pics yet but heres what imma do cuz i want my car to be a huge sleeper. In order from front to back
Turbo, DownPipe, Electric Cut Out, Catalytic Converter, Bullet Muffler, 1-in 2-out magnaflow muffler, SS CME Tips.
Im planning on it being very quiet with the cut out closed. haha.

Are you talking about a dual 3" or single 3" configuration? It's going to depend on your setup and power level. I had a single 3" from front to back and it choked the motor so much I couldn't get it above 4,500 RPMs.

This is pretty much what I'm changing my setup to. It will be a 4" oval setup (including the cat) all the way back. That's the only way I could get enough flow out of a single setup.

I also think a single 3" system is too small for a turbo V8. Ideally, you want to stepup to the largest exhaust possible as quickly as you can from the turbo outlet.

Good info here:

reamo is right of course, open DP's are badda$$

I have a single 3" DP coming out of my T76GTS and runs back to a borla catback. I welded in a manual cutout where a single cat would go... and will bolt on an electric cutout as soon as it comes in from summit.

Single 3" from the turbo > no cat > dynatech split flow > dump before the axle. All mandrel bent of course with a v band connection from turbo to dp and another v band from dp to the rest of exhaust. Its very quiet until the wg pops.

You need more than 3 inches on a turbo car. I initially built my turbo kit with the intention of using a 3" exhaust. However, on the dyno my car picked up 60 horsepower by removing the Borla 3" catback. It lost none of the gained power by bolting on a 4" Mufflex with a Magnaflow muffler. You litterally cannot have too big of an exhaust on a turbo car. Bigger is better.

Nice! Hopefully I see a big jump with the cutout open!

i think not having a cat is big, and having a straight through muffler. If you cant see staight through the dang thing its too restrictive
