electric supercharger?

i was bored looking around on the internet and came across this. I don't really believe any of it, but would like to check with you guys. let me knoww

LOL if it was that easy everyone would have one on their car.

Just a waste of money for the impulsive/ignorant buyer.

This is just like those fuel saver gimmicks that claim to add gas mileage with voltage stabilizers and magnets, etc. Anyone with any brains would ask, "If it's so easy, why didn't the manufacturer do it?"- after all, they did sink millions in research into things like hybrids, direct injection, variable valve lift...

Your alternator is capable of putting out 110 amps. 110 amps * 12 volts = 1320 watts = 1.76hp. If an electrically-driven supercharger was 100% efficient (impossible), that's the maximum amount of power it could possibly add to your engine.

You could upgrade your alternator, but you're never going to get past +5hp.

Just go this route...at least it would give people something to talk about...and prol have more power too- which would equate to about 3hp
