Would a 1997-2003 Pontiac grand prix gtp supercharger fit on my 1997 camaro v6? They have the same engine.

 

True but the Toro probably has more displacement than the Ford.

 

For knowledge's sake, no. The V6 in your camaro is NOT the same engine as the supercharged 3.8 in a grand prix. You could swap the intake manifold and supercharger, but the engine internals are different (and you'd quickly damage your engine's internals).

Additionally, the supercharger intake & throttle body is on the opposite side of the engine from the accessory belt on the grand prix - putting it against the firewall in your car. Is it doable? Sure. But you'd be better off selling your V6 and buying a V8. You'll end up with more power and fewer headaches while spending less money.

 

If it was my choice I would have a v8, but my parents won't let me.

Plus, it's Like doubled on th insurance for a 16 year old with a v8 compared to the v6 and they won't pay it. Even though I bought my own car.

 

If you out right own the car you could just do liability only if you're responsible. If you act like a normal 16 year old though you might want to stick with full coverage.

 

It's a cheap car, I wouldn't do full coverage, just get good liability

 

You can put a decent nitrous kit together for under $500. Back when i was in college Mustang 5.0 wet kits were what a lot of guys ran. Cheap and easy, just stab the nozzle into the intake elbow.

As far as insurance goes, my suggestion would be full coverage! No offense but 16 and talking nitrous....come on, it's not a question of if you're going to get in a wreck, but when. I've been there dude....
