dual power adders?

I have a 93 camaro which currently has a nitrous outlet plate kit. I'm in the middle of purchasing a v1 s trim kit from a 96 camaro. Will I be able too run the nitrous with the blower kit and also the kit is a blow threw m.a.f. as you all know my car is speed density so what would I do to change this to work with my car?

Nitrous works amazingly well with boost because it has a substantial cooling effect. Far as the MAF thing you just need to rework the plumbing. Heck you don't even need to do that you could leave the MAF there unplugged as a coupler.

Sweet. Now I just need to lower the compression substantially, forged rods and pistons, find a th400 ,s60 and put a cage in. I got booted off the track last year for running to fast without a roll bar.

Trickflows are available with a larger chamber, consider having them ported right from the start and you could get a more capable head while lowering compression.

Re: dual power adders?

I have le3's brand new in the box. They aren't a.I but I think they'll do the trick. I got a v1 s-trim with plumbing, oil lines, tapped oil Pan, everything minus boost gauge and b.o.v. i have a brand new b.o.v,boost gauge from my 88 Thunderbird TC. I also have a j.d.m fmic and piping as well. Total cost for the v.o.r.t.e.c and accessories was 1500.00,I couldn't pass it up for that and i hate running out of nitrous so this way ill always have power and then some when the bottle is full

Re: dual power adders?

Did it come with a PCM already? Regardless you should get it tuned for your car- the kit shouldn't matter if it is for SD or MAF setup.

I am looking to get rid of my MAF setup- once you get above 7-8lbs of boost the MAF is maxed out anyway- but you can run you car in SD mode with a MAP sensor from an older turbo GM car. There is a whole thread on how to do it in the sticky section.

Lots of people run nitrous and boost safely with no problems. Just keep your tune safe and enjoy all the power.

Re: dual power adders?

what about on a stock bottom end (9.7:1 compression w/ afr 195 comp heads 61cc chambers)...w/ p600b blower at 10 psi max boost.

Would you run a small shot of nitrous(50 shot wet NX kit)? or is this too much risk?

Ive thought itd be great to run on a window switch for 1/4 mile runs. Have the system on for an explosive launch and then have it cut off around 4300 rpm or so just to keep the stock bottom end from grenading...

What does everyone think of that?

6spd car.

Re: dual power adders?

I sprayed a stock crank, stock rods and cheap speed pro pistons upto a 200 shot and into the high 10's with no issues at all. The crank is tough as nails the rods and pistons are the weak points imo
