Driving to dyno tune with new supercharger????

Hey guys, Getting to final stages of install. I was wondering if I would be Ok to drive approx 12 miles to speed shop for dyno tune without any other tune. I did change inj to 42lbs and would not be getting on the car at all prob keep it below 2,500 rpm's all the way there.

Can I run the car without a belt on procharger would that be better???? Its a P600B procharger twin intercool.

Depends man. If you changed enough stuff to make it run PIG rich, or lean, then you could run into some very bad problems even for just a dozen miles. If you had a good tune, and just put bigger injectors on and the P600, I'd say you'd probably be fine, just don't get into the throttle any more than just to get up to the speed limits (STAY OUT OF THE BOOST).

I drove my Z28 in my sig about 200 miles to my first dyno tune on nothing more than a mail order tune, and it drove just fine, but then again the mail order tune dialed quite a bit in for things to be safe for me.

Back when I had my car tuned, I had the blower on there hooked up and with the stock 24#er on there. I drove the car like 80 miles to Bryan Herter house for a street tune. When I got there we pulled off the 24#ers off and stuck the 50# injectors on and he did the base tune before we started the car. You can definetly drive with the blower on there as long as you do not get on the car but I would not risk putting the 42# injectors on there until you get to the shop. Its only 12 miles but not worth risking in my opinion.

Well if you are talking about keeping the engine load low, then it will not matter one bit. Your bypass will be bleeding air.

If your old tune was for the old injectors, and you just put the blower on, it'll run exactly what it is tuned for unless you get into boost. Just drive it with no boost (stay out of deep throttle) on the old tune, and change the injectors when you are ready for the tune.

No problem. Driven mine w/ AFR's in the high 9's low 10's for 200 miles to a dyno. Ate up more gas than anything.

what could happen is fuel could wash out the piston rings and they never would set right this happend to a guy i knew his motor was brand new. if the rings have set already like more then 1000 miles you will be fine. worst case is your plugs would foul out thats more pain then pulling injectors
