Do you add some color to your meth?

hey guys, im thinking about adding some color to my meth mix so that it would be easier to check the level in my tank (using my windshield washer tank).

anyone do this? im wondering if a couple drops of food coloring would be okay.....

or is it possible to get a hold of some type of fuel dye?

go to any place that sells racing fuel, you should be able to get a fuel dye.

This is a very good idea though, never would have thought of it.

if i would have known how clear it was i would have asked when i bought it. i kinda envisioned it to be blue or something. we used to use trick race fuel in my motocross bike, and i remember it being blue. it smelled so good mixed with maxima927 castor oil (before the 4 stroke invasion).

i had no idea what to expect from methanol. i was really surprised at how little it smelled, and looked just like water. it is really hard to tell the fluid level in the winshield washer tank when its not bright outside. even using a good flashlight, the fluid is basically invisible.

i was looking at low level sensors but i dont think one would fit well in that tank. it would have to be near the middle to upper part of the tank and would show low fluid all the time...

it would cost me more to order the right stuff. i cant get anything other than 32+ fluid in california. maybe in the winter i could stock up on the -30 stuff (if i can find it).

i was going to order this stuff but i found the pure VP meth, so i decided it would be cheaper to mix my own. http://automotive.hardwarestore.com/...id-256131.aspx

all said and done, im paying 4.5 dollars per gallon mixing my own, and id be paying 5.69 if i ordered the wiper fluid. and im getting a higher percentage of meth. mine=50/50, washer fluid = 41/59

and snow's boost juice from summit would be 10.23 per gallon!!!

Wow, I feel pretty privileged to have washer fluid rated at -40 year round up here. Seems to be working pretty good so far.
