Do I need better valvesprings?

Do I need better than stock springs, does a blower affect spring tension?
I'm tryiing to get a 94z running with a D1sc, headers, stock block heads cam springs. I pulled valve covers and exhaust spring on #6 is broken near bottom. can I change on car? @ tdc? is it a big job? should I put LT4's on - they're relativey cheap.
thanks

Yes you an change them in the car. There are kits that will screw into the sparkplug hole and allow you to use compressed air to hold the valves up while changing springs. I also have a spring compressor from MAC tools that is small enough to use in the car.
