Difference between D1 and D1SC

Difference between D1 and D1SC

What is the difference between the D1 and the D1SC Prochargers? Which one is better?

the d1 is oiled by the engines oiling system. The D1SC has a self contained oiling system.

As stated above one is self contained and the other one is not. I believe both systems have its advantages and disadvantages. The only thing I do not like about the D1SC is the imfamous leaky seal (which ATI will not cover under warranty). The thing that sucks about that is that you can run your blower dry on oil and cause the impeller to crash into the housing. The D1SC is suppose to run alot cooler than the D1 blower. The biggest problem with the D1 is that you circulate the oil from the engine to the blower. So if your motor or blower takes a dump most likely you will have to rebuild both the blower and motor.
