Cracked flexplate due to supercharger??

I took my car to the muffler shop today to have a leak fixed, and while it was up on the rack they started the car. There was a rattling/clanking sound coming from under the convertor cover, so we pulled it and checked the bolts. All was fine there, and we started it again and the flexplate seems to be flexing back and forth over 1/8, maybe even 1/4 inch. The guy at the shop said the flexplate seems to be cracked, but he couldn't see anything.

Does this sound right? If so, what kind of flexplate should I get, and where can I get one cheap? If I have to pull the tranny, I think I will go ahead and put a better convertor in than the SLP. Any recommendations? I am also going to be running a 50 shot to cool the air and make a little more power up here at this elevation (4284 feet).

On a side note, If anybody is interesed in seeing my Impala Take out a Z06 with SLP headers, cat delete, Blackwing, and G-Force drag radials, here you go.

Again, thanks for any help you can give me.

I cracked mine. I couldn't find an aftermarket one so I picked one up at Autozone for 50 or 60 bucks

I know George Debski (Cherry Bomb) was using a Hughes flex plate on his Impala. Check over on the Impala SS forum . I am sure they would love to see your video too.
Nice run .

I replaced mine also when I did my rebuild. Mine had some small cracks in it, so like the other guy said for $50-60 bucks I got a Auto zone one.
