I am doing some searching right now on what all is needed to swap over to the carb. I am gonna get the LT4 manifold and Opti block-off plate from SDPC. Most likely get a MSD HEI distributor from Summit. Do you think I should go with an ignition box? I am also still trying to figure out what all I need to do with the stock computer.

Most run an ignition box to boost ignition power. I tried my car without one and it wouldn't go over 5 psi. However, the carb'd setup worked fine up to 18 psi without a box.

You'll probably want to leave the stock computer because it operates alot of things other than the engine, tying into the speedometer, HVAC, security, ABS, etc. . .

Well I am deleting the AC and take out the whole assembly, also plan on deleting the ABS. The car will mostly be a strip car with the occasional cruise. I am going with a Moser 9" and TH-400 trans with a brake.
I may buy a different box though, depending on money. Since it will be raced I figured I buy a 2-step.
