Hello all, I am trying to help my best friend set up a 454 for a blower. He said it will come with a used paxton an intercooler, he didnt know the model so I looked up paxtons head units and saw the novi 1000 which seems way too small and I noticed that the 1200 and 2000 would be fine. The 1200 seems to be a renamed S-trim. I remember hot rod and CHP making huge power with an S-trim even though its rated at 680 hp I think they made like 775 hp. It will come with an intercooler also, I will have him verify 3 inch inlets and outlets, how can he determine if its a 3-4 core? I am gonna recommend 8.5cr with iron heads and 9.0 with alum. I think we'll shoot for boost in the 6-8psi range. The car current has a nitrioused 427 with twin fuel pumps, TH400, 9inch etc. What cam should we run?? He likes them big as possible, I know we dont want to bleed off any boost. Thanks for any help or suggestions
