Bracket Fabrication complete

We did some more work on the car today. I replaced the fuel pump while Brian finished the fabrication on the alt. bracket. We had to move the alt. because of the turbo location.

Here are some pictures of the finished bracket:

Here are some pictures of the fuel pump install. I decided to go through the top so I wouldn't have to drop the tank.

The turbo project is coming along nicely... Another month or so and it should be done.

Well, then you really won't like what we are doing to put the intercooler in. These are just things you do if you want to go fast!

We have 2 F-bodies, 1 GTO and 1 Mustang (sold the other Mustang last week). Our garage has almost every stock part available for these cars. Every few months we do a garage giveaway and have people come pick up all of our stock junk. We had so many parts that we had to make an extra attic in the garage just for storage space.

Re: Bracket Fabrication complete

Nothing wrong with a little hacking. It's not like she's going to leave it open after pump install...

No, I didn't leave it open. I repaired the hole with sheet metal. No worries... I know what I'm doing

Re: Bracket Fabrication complete

I did the same thing in my convertible. No complaints

Any woman willing to hack her car up for speed gets the thumbs up in my book!

What are you doing to the front? I assume eliminating the styrofoam, cutting away part of the bumper's center section and parts of the bumper cover as well?

Haven't finished the measurements yet... but I am sure it will go something like that! I'll keep you updated and thanks for the support!

dude STFU man
its her car, she can do what she wants, she didnt want to drop teh tank she cut a hole , who cares, i did it and so did many other ppl on the board

just b/c u didnt do it does not mean its not right to do ,

there are the advantages and dissadvantges of doing that, so what so is everything else thats done to a car,

technically yes cutting a hole over the gas tanks did make her faster
with a turbo ur gonna want an upgraded fuel pump so that u can get enough A/F mixture and without that extra fuel shed be wasting power and her car would run lean as **** (whether she upgraded teh injectors i do not know )
so yes technically cutting the hole (cuz she chose to) did make her car faster by aiding other functions of teh car to get the car running properly

by the way honey thumbs up to a pretty woman that does her own work and love speed as much as some guys do
