BOV on a MAF car?

Alright. Quick ?. Can you put a BOV on a MAF car or do you have to switch out to speed density? If you can please explain how so I can show this to a buddy of mine so we can figure this out. Thanks in advance, Jarred

Yes you can, I've run them before and after the MAF with no problems. Most BOV's come with some sort of weld on flange. Find a place and attach it!

So if someone wanted to replace their bypass valve on a vortech kit with a BOV it could be done with no problems whatsoever?

Yes it can! Some guys will mount them on the throttle body elbow. But that is cast aluminum, and you'd need to find someone that can weld on aluminum. What you are wanting to do is nothing new!

Here are a few pics of how I mounted a Greddy Type-R BOV to my old turbo tech kit a few years ago. Pretty similar to TonyJ's. Scroll down the page it's near the end.

Tony do you have more pictures of routing the IC pipes to that huge FMIC? I also heard the Wolfe cages didnt do too well in the earlier convertibles. As you have a 95 (like me) how was fitment and such? Are you really pleased with it?

Bill and Tony - do either of you happen to have clips of the BOV you're using? I cant decide which one I want for my car.

Love the wolfe cage. Be sure and do the swingout on at least the driver's side unless you're a small guy. It's the bolt-in and took about 6 hours to install. You need two people and might have to remove all the seats. I didn't, but in retrospect, it might have been easier. To me the hardest part is cutting and positioning the carpet to make it look nice... Here's a couple more pics of the tubing. Most of this has been replaced with hard pipe, but will show you where it's routed. It hangs a little too low in the front. It would be easier with 2.5" tubing instead of the 3" we wanted to use everywhere...
