How much boost can I run on a stock 1995 Trans Am lt1? I am running 6 psi right know. I have a vortech s trim supercharger.

 

With a good tune i won't go over 8, but you run as much as you want. Start saving for a rebuild though stock pistons don't like the boost a whole lot

 

I shattered a compression ring on 6 psi and didn't know it until I pulled the engine apart to put in good forged pistons.

I had a couple of bouts of nasty detonation, but I didn't think it was serious enough to cause a problem. But it did.
