Question Blower guys w/ Datamaster

What AFGS are you running at idle? I'm idleing at about 950 and running rich with smoke. Just replaced my o2's they were fouled. At idle in open loop it does idle and the o2's even though they are not being used are reading in the 950 range but it is smoking. When it hits closed loop all **** hits the fan! My short and long term fuel trims drop like bricks. 108/65 the motor changes its tone like it is being bogged down. And yeh there is smoke. Injector pulse width goes from 6-7 ms to 3.

I think my AFGS is high for a blower motor. I know an NA motor would be 7-8 gps.

Does anyone know how to pull fuel out of open and closed loop?

Buy the way this is a 355 w P1SC, 42 lb inj. trickflow heads----- >>>its down there.....

Is your program set for the 42lb injectors? Fuel pressure correct?

AFGS at 950?! That's way high, is your MAF pointing the right way? Any vacuum leaks? Check all the tubes between the blower and the throttle body.

sounds like you're dumping the bypass valve to atmosphere, after that air has been metered (gone through the MAF) -or- it sounds like you're bringing the bypassed air back through the MAF over and over again.

if you're dumping the bypass valve to atmosphere, move the MAF so that it's between the valve and the throttle body.

if you're routing the bypass air back through the system, make sure it's re-entering the intake side of the supercharger after the MAF.

if it's all hooked up right, look for a major leak in your bypass tubing.

looked at my bypass tubing and had to readjust it. Got my AFGS down to 11-13gs. Once I hit closed loop the BL drop to 108 but it isn't smoking. Are the AFGS still to high, I am pulling about 14in Hg at idle?

I see 11-12 AGFS at idle.

sounds like you fixed a pretty big leak or re-routed something...

14 in Hg at idle is what I have too, very similar motor.
I think the idle vacuum could be increased to 15, maybe 16 with some tuning (more timing at idle).
