Re: Blower Cam suggestions

The only reason I ask this is because Lg told my that my cam has too much overlap for forced induction and too much boost would be bled off.

I don't know the specs on the cam. LG won't let anyone know the specs. I wish they would, but it's a big secret with them.

If I had to guess, I would say it's around a low to mid 240 duration cam , with a low 600 lift. I'm pretty sure the lsa on the cam is at 111, only because the cam had an engraving on the end of it that said "g5x4 @ 111"

That's a pet peave of mine. Cams used to be 224/230 or 262/266. Now, their named FM11, TRak, G5X14, even some after **** stars (RJ), etc. . . Grrr.

Kind of funny when you think about it. When you look up cams for old 350's and what not, you get specs and a part #. Now you get some silly name for a cam , and who knows, like in my case I don't know my cam specs. I can only take guesses at it.

My main purpose of this post basically is to find out if you can still have a cam that has a rough idle to it and works with a blower. Kinda hate to give up my choppy idle for a cam that sounds like stock, just so the blower works better.

It comes down to this:

Do you care more about appearance, or performance? It's what seperates us from the ricers....:blah:
