Just for the record brad, it wasn't the metal from the charger that put the hole in your piston generating blow by. That was most likely the tune being off for the boost you were putting to it. A hole in the piston (i'm assuming your talking a melted hole) is caused by a lean out due to lack of fuel, which can also cause detonation and crack pistons. The damage the metal going through there would most likely cause would be tearing up your bearings once it gets in the oil, maybe the valve seats, cylinder wall scoring if it gets that far, etc. There are many that run boost safely and reliably once the tune is dialed in. So don't get discouraged incase you change your mind and put it back on there. You just need to build and tune for it, thats all.

We don't know how to tune it - we bought a chip burner/emulator from moates - but we do not have the knowledge to tune the car or burn a chip for it. It makes us uncomfortable.

Is there anyone that is running boost on a 93 that has a tune that would work for my car? The knowledge part is what we are missing in this category - also would i need to buy a new spark retard system like the crane fireball + module?

No, you need a wideband o2 sensor and some kind of gauge or logging capability to do that
