Each probably has it's ups and downs. Dont base what blower you're going to get on which is easiest to install. The P1SC has no oil lines, so that's a plus. And if the Powerdyne has no intercooler setup, than that would be a plus for it. If the vortec had an aftercooler it might be the hardest to install. Oil lines, and water lines/pump/exchanger for aftercooler.

Well pretty much once I'm done with my H/C/I setup, I figure to be around 360-370 rwhp. That being emissions complient, as well as very driveable around the street. Now, assuming i get bored of that power, I *may* want to push it up to over 400 rwhp. I would personally consider around 450 rwhp to be the limit of what *I* feel safe at in a street car.

I figure, that at around 6 psi, each of the blowers above would get me there at their minimum level..and they all should function at about the same because I am not pushing any of them. Therefore, what it would come down to is reliability, and ease of install..as the prices for each at around 6 psi are very similar. If I am over simplifying this...please point out what I would need to consider also.

I am aware the stock block might explode, as well as the tranny, (stock rear im not concerned about as I will not be doing any 5000 rpm launches in my auto). But that is fine, I will rebuild with better parts as each fails. I dont drive this car much, and when I do..i usually dont beat on it. I just want to know the power is there. Before I even get to that, I will be upgrading my brakes, and all my suspension. So thats my scenario in a nutshell.

Anymore opinions? I am actually thinking the easiest to install would be the powerdyne..its supposedly the smallest charger. and at 6 psi..it should get me to my power level.

Re: Between these chargers..

Ive got the d1sc twin intercooler setup on my 1993 z28 m6...It was a pretty straight forward install, and ATI included detailed instructions for the process. I would shy away from powerdne even though your looking to make only 450 rwhp. With those head units, the interior drive belt in the head units have to be sent to powerdyne to be repaired. The vortec units are great, but like 5.0 said, the water to air aftercooler is harder to install. If i were you, i would go with a p1sc twin intercooler setup, but i would expect quite a bit more power than 450 rwhp.

right..thats because with the twin intercooler setup allows me to run 8 psi.

I didnt know that about powerdyne..that would really be a pain in the *** to have to send it out.and then wait for it to come back every time.

Thanks!
