Best mods for a supercharger?

Are there mods that are more benifical with the supercharger? I have done several now and it seems they all get better results than most report. I gained over a 1/2 second with slicks and 4 10ths with 3.73 gears. I want the stall next but want the best and at a good price so it will have to wait. I hate to touch the engine because I figure it will go sooner than later so its all external mods for now. So what suspension or other upgrades can I make besides a stall to improve the cars 1/4 mile times? I plan on a 383 with heads and a cam when this one blows up. Engine internals are 100% stock with 110K on them.

If you're itching to upgrade, I think its hard to beat the Powerdyne billet impeller from 928Motorsports. In my case, it shifted the boost curve downward by about 500-1,000 rpm. The same flow/boost was achieved 500 to 1,000 rpm sooner than with the original impeller.

I'm now making peak boost of 10-11 psi at 42,000 impeller rpm or about 6,000 crankshaft rpm.

I suggest saving up a bit for the stall. Working with the 3.73's, you will jump up to 4,000ish real fast and acceleration will be violent. Instead of waiting to slowly climb through the lower rpm range w/o boost, You will be up in the r's where your motor likes to be, faster.

Plus, the stall is an investment that you can keep when you pop the motor

agreed, a stall and trans upgrade is the single best improvement on any f-body, period. Make sure to get a good one, 3500 would be perfect

Does the stall matter depending on the brand? If I got an Edge, Yank or Vigilate would it change? I think I remember seeing that one brand would be higher than the other for the same setup. What stall range would you recommend for me and the brand?

I cut 2 full seconds off the 1/4 with it + slicks and gears, so no complaints so far.

All of the big brand names are good of course, fuddle, yank, vigilante. My friend has also had good luck with the TCI. Have it installed by a qualified mechanic, and you should be fine with any of these. But for your application/setup, saving a big more would truly be worth it. Unless you cant wait!

I am with the other guys on the converter. Also replace the boost side hose clamps with high quality units and add a meth injection kit. I ran a BD11a powerdyne for two years with no problems.
