Talking Beat a ticket with a Turbo?

Thought this was pretty funny. We put one of our turbo kits on a 99 chev pu last week and the guy was coming down a few days later (and bringing us lunch) to install a couple gauges. He was late showing up and then he calls and says he just got pulled over for 70 in a 25 and would be a while.

He shows up and says that the first thing the cop said was, "What was that noise your truck was making?" He told him that it was turbocharged and the cop said, "No way, Really? Can I see it?" So he shows him the setup. The cop then asks for a ride, which he gave him. When they get back to the cop car the cop says, "I'm going to give you a break and only write you up for 50 in a 25 instead of 70." So he says, "Come on, I took you for a ride in my truck. You can't give me a ticket." So the cop says," O.K. but slow it down!" And he let him go!

Is that sweet or what? I gotta try that next time.

I never get good luck like that. My brother 126 in a 55, and the cop lost the ticket. My buddy 110 in a jetta in a 55 cop let him go with warning. Same friend 105 in a 55 89 ford probe, DMV never got the ticket. Than again I have never been pulled over for speeding.

hey.......i got their tickets!!!!!!

just ONE of the probs ive had:

the DMV put someone elses ticket number on my license...........after "failing to pay" a ticket that wasnt mine, they suspended my license.......all without any sort of mail correspondence.

so im driving along one day, get pulled for a tail light or something stupid, and the officer looks up my license, and tells me its suspended and that he has to issue me a court date and a huge fine for driving while suspended.

that mess took 6 months to sort out.

i seriously hate the dmv, and county clerk employees, not a single one of them was helpful or cooperative in any way, and i hope they all get horribly disfigured or mutilated.

most of the cops around here are so corrupt that they would probably let you go after a ride. Hell I know cops around here with with parts on their personal cars off cops cars! gears, driveshafts, strobes, MAFs,computers, etc....
dont wanna know where they got my strobes from
