ATI Twin Intercooler Setup

I have seen a lot of talk about how the ATI Twin Intercooler isn't a good system, etc. I wanted to show my results from this weekend's racing. I went to Englishtown on Saturday afternoon. Temperatures were around 80 degrees. Track temps were around 105. I got 4 runs in over a 4 hour period, all IAT Temperatures were around the same. At the end of the run, seeing right around 15#'s of boost, my IATs were 180 degrees.

I have never run a front mount IC, but these numbers seem pretty good to me.

Your thoughts?

Your temps seem a little warm to me, but nothing to be alarmed about.

The ATI twins work, its just that at about 10-12#'s of boost they usually can't keep up with keeping your IAT's low, and that can be bad especially on a hot day keeping you away from detonation.

Normally, you could avoid this by adding a methanol injection setup, or by stepping up to what I and many others did by going with a much larger FMIC.

What are your IATs at the end of your run with the FMIC? I know you are running similar boost levels to me.

120-130 ish. Keep in mind they would be much colder if more of my FMIC was exposed like most. I ran custum ducting from underneath to direct air to the FMIC without hacking up my front bumper like most.

Also keep in mind that those temps were before I started using my methanol injection setup, which I'm sure drastically cools my IAT's now.

Ben-

Your methanol is probably pulling at least 50* of heat out. On my roomates car we tested it back to back and his methanol pulled out 60* on the dyno.
