ATI SuperDamper and Supercharger Pullies
ATI SuperDamper and Supercharger Pullies
Just ordered an ATI SuperDamper.. Was wondering how this is going to affect the alignment of my crank pulley with my blower pulley.. Anyone have one?
Thanks,

Sean,
You will need to take off approximately .25" thickness from the back of crank pulley spacer..... this is best measured on the actual car due to production variation. Also the centering post (that locates the spacer in the balancer) needs a small sleeve pressed on to center it in the now larger balancer opening. All else will work without modification. Hope this helps.

Here's what to do with a Fluidampr. I'm sure it's the same concept, just different measurements: http://web.camaross.com/forums/showt...ferrerid=10136
Sean,
Contact Larry at ASSC Racing (847.473.4720) and ask him if he makes a custom inner hub for an LT1. I've got a third gen and he makes one for my 305 TPI. It's a must when running a blower. The material around the hub is at least twice as thick as ATI's (most important) and it is double-keyed. If you'd like pics of both units, please e-mail me and I'll send them your way. Larry uses one on his '92 Formula and has had no issues with balancer breakage (like I did with my former Fluidampr, which ruined my crank). BTW, he runs cogs, makes 26 pounds of boost (F1), and is in the 9's with his 350 TPI. Not bad for a daily-driver!!

Hey Everyone,
Thanks for the information, very helpful.
Willie,
Madman makes one as well, or at least has them and I have one coming from him. It's Small Block Chevy inside diameter and big block chevy outside diamater. Just have to have your timing cover machined to fit a big block chevy front seal and it fits. It allows for 2-3 times as much key to fit into the hub.
Thanks again, I'll let everyone know how it works out when I get it.. It's off to SD-Concepts when I get everything in.
