ATI questions...

I have said now that I finally have my car dialed in with the D1SC that I am happy with my power level and results.

However, I am curious as to what the difference would be if I changed my D1SC to an F-1A. I know the F-1A will use the same bracket as the D1SC (just need to clearance the block and the ABS a little). Does the F-1A use the same pulleys? Currently with a 7.65 crank pulley and a 3.4 blower pulley my max boost is about 14.5#'s at 6500 RPM. What would the F-1A give me with that setup?

BTW, I am running CNC by TPIS AFR 180 heads, custom EPP FMIC, and a custom camshaft 244/254 @ .050, .578/.578 lift, 114* LSA.

Boost is not addicting

Around 20-22 psi if your intercooler isn't too restrictive and you don't get any belt slip.

I answered your questions in the other thread, Ben. Actually I think for the money you would get a pretty darned good gain out of a better set of heads. They're cheaper, and maybe you could talk Sean into lending you his F1A (when he gets it), and you can do back-to-back comparisons on your car!

After I could sell my D1SC and buy a good deal on an F1-A I think I really would be out less than upgrading my heads. But thats true that my heads and cam setup are not helping me boost wise.

I AM currently happy with my setup though, so I won't be changing it any time soon or even ever. I am just curious with changing the blower what kind of gains, or boost levels I will see.

Thanks for all the info!

Yep those AFR180 heads will give you tons of torque. Nice setup IMHO.

All other things being equal, doesn't improving the head flow on a forced-induction engine generally decrease manifold pressure?

Yes, it generally does. But you're doing just that... improving flow. You will gain more power with less boost.
